How rankings work

Votes

On arena54.com/rankings a person is shown two listings of the same kind and picks one. That is one vote. Games meet games and creators meet creators; the two are never mixed.

The six boards

Board	Ordered by
week	Wins in the last 7 days, then win rate.
month	Wins in the last 30 days, then win rate.
all	A rating that rises more for beating a higher-rated opponent (Elo).

Each exists for games and for creators. Boards are recomputed from the votes every few minutes.

Fields on a row

Field	Meaning
rank	Position on this board now, from 1.
previous_rank	Position on the same board a day earlier. null when it was not ranked then.
wins	Votes won in the board’s span.
name, tagline, tags, country_code, url	Enough to draw the row and link to it.

Keeping it fair

A voter answers each pair once and has a daily limit.
Nobody is shown their own listing.
Only a pair that was offered to a voter can be answered by them.
Staff can void a voter’s votes; the boards recalculate as if they were never cast.

Reading them well

A new board can be short or empty. Handle an empty list.
Draw movement from rank and previous_rank; do not keep your own history.
Refresh a board every few minutes at most. It does not change faster.
